Aloe vera gel with glycerin
To use this remedy, you need one teaspoon of aloe vera gel as well as four teaspoons of vegetable glycerin. Additionally, you also need to add 4-5 tablespoons of baking soda along with ten drops of lemon essential oil along with one cup of water. You need to mix all these ingredients into a paste and scrub it with the same. You can do this once a day. The reason why they work for dental plaque is that both baking soda and the aloe vera gel contains antioxidants which can improve the healing process.

Brushing with a baking soda mixture
You require one tablespoon of baking soda and you would need to mix with salt and place it on a wet toothbrush. You can gently scrub the teeth with it and then rinse it with lukewarm water. It is better to use it every alternate day to treat the dental plaque until it subsides. This works because the baking soda soothes the gums and the teeth. This will create an antibacterial effect to clear out the tartar and plaque.

Use orange peels
To use the orange peels, you would need to take a peeled piece of an orange and then rub it on the teeth for a period of two to three minutes. You may have to leave the juices on for two to three minutes. Then, you would need to rinse the mouth clean with water. Orange peels paste can be put on for one to two minutes and then it can be rinsed off. Do this twice or thrice in the week. The reason why this works is that these peels can fight off the microorganisms. It is an affordable way and a natural remedy to whiten the tartar that has stained your teeth.

Sesame seeds
Another remedy that you can use to clear dental plaque is by using sesame seeds. For this, you would need, one tablespoon of sesame seeds. You can chew the sesame seeds but remember to not swallow them. While you are chewing these seeds, remember to brush your teeth dry with the help of a dry toothbrush. You can use this remedy twice a week. The reason why this works is that it acts as a natural scrub. Sesame seeds may also help in polishing as well as cleaning of the tartar and plaque.

While using fluoride toothpaste and flossing your teeth to avoid the build-up of dental plaque is a preferred method, the aforementioned methods may also help you steer clear of this problem.
